  My Grammy passed away this morning...

  peacefully after a short bout with leukemia.

  she was 88 years old and the foundation of my life.

  she will be sadly missed by me and everyone whose lives she has touched.. .

  JW's have never come to my door...

  i have been living at my present location for almost 6 years and there has never been one visit ever.

  of course, i am not home all the time, but you would think there would have been at least one.

  i don't live in a gated community either so access is not a problem.

  I have been living at my present location for almost 6 years and there has never been ONE visit ever. Of course, I am not home all the time, but you would think there would have been at least one. I don't live in a gated community either so access is not a problem. I have never been registered as a JW (left when I was 18 unbaptised) and I moved out of the area for several years overseas.

  Any thoughts on it? Just curious how the divvy up the territory.

  my grandmother asked me to read to her so i asked her what she wanted me to read.

  was the watchtower, but she specfically asked for the one with "the timeline.

  was the Watchtower, but she specfically asked for the one with "the timeline." She's been out of

  it for a few days and apparently hasn't read up. So I started reading. I know there were some

  posts here about it a while back, but I had to stop reading at the 10th paragraph. Am I right in

  surmising that the whole 1914 thing has been tossed? What's the implication of this? Does it

  just buy them more time? When I asked my Grammy whether she understood it, she said, sort of.

  I have to mull it over. I continued reading on myself but wasn't quite getting the gist of it.

  Does anyone have the 101 version???

  She's in her last stages of luekemia. She fell a few days ago and she's going downhill

  quickly. She's 88. She has been a shining example of the JW faith for over 60 years...she

  REALLY practiced what she preached and I respect her for that even though my beliefs

  are so different. She's clinging on to the "new system" belief, and in a way, I am happy

  that she has that hope. She has been a foundation for me my whole life...always

  loved me unconditionally and never made me feel guilty. So here is a tribute

  to a beautiful lady.....my Grammy. XXXX
